Classic Stephens 46

This all American beauty caught the eye of one of Team NZ’s crew during the 2013 America’s Cup in San Francisco with her classical styling and graceful lines. She was hand crafted in Mahogany  (hull # M156) with 1 ¼ inch Carvel planking and launched in early 1969 and for most of her life she’s been housed in this covered marina and had only two caring owners who have preserved her and maintained her character.

On arriving in NZ she was taken to Salthouse Boat-builders in Greenhithe for a freshen up with a number of upgrades including new upholstery and carpets, added sound insulation, a new Raymarine chart plotter to smarten her up. The spacious saloon has the large galley to starboard with new gas stove and oven, large stainless steel fridge and freezer, and good ventilation with sliding windows both port and starboard.

The salon has a lovely L shaped dinette in the aft port corner with ottomans for extra seating during meals. The table folds to half this size too and the large windows give an almost 360 degree view and a great feeling of spaciousness.

Her accommodation forward is also light and airy with two cabins and two bathrooms with 2 showers sleeping 5 in total with a tasteful mix of varnished mahogany and white lacquer.

The cockpit has teak laid decking and a ladder to the bridge with a freezer unit to port and walk through door.

A new BEP switch board and meters have been added with new house batteries totalling 700 amp hours with a 1200 watt inverter/battery charger added.
