Hanse 461 Sloop

This highly specified, one owner epoxy production cruiser was designed by renowned Judel/Vrolijk & Co naval architects and German engineered by Hanse Yachts GmbH and Co and has some superb features and a great layout with three double cabins and two heads including a separate shower so she ticks a lot of boxes for a performance cruising yacht.

Twin wheels and a broad open transom with easy access to the water, teak decks, an el fresco table, mounted BBQ and outboard storage plus upgraded electric primary winches and halyards and all sail controls leading to the cockpit including a self-tacking headsail, plus a high powered retractable MaxPower Bow-thruster with its own 2 batteries make this vessel so easy to handle on your own and a pleasure to sail in all conditions.

The interior is finished in Cherrywood and leather with a spacious and airy feel throughout and with cleverly designed storage and furnishings throughout.

The galley to port has twin s/s sinks, s/s fridge and under bench freezer, with a microwave oven, and a gimballed s/s stove and oven.

The master cabin is forward with a large double to starboard and a single berth to port, with an ensuite bathroom in the bow giving the owner privacy from the guest cabins aft which are serviced by their own aft head and shower. The fully moulded bathroom with overhead hatch in the bow is well thought out, and the double and single berth configuration of the master cabin is handy for boy’s trips or passages when you can sleep on the leeward side or somewhere to put bags and clothes.Twin double quarter-berth cabins port and starboard for the guests with privacy doors and opening port lights are generous, and well-appointed too.

The uncluttered foredeck with self-tacking track, the sails were upgraded to North Norlam D Cut spectra including adding the Harken ball-slide system to the mainsail. The cleverly designed stainless steel bow sprit lifts out using a halyard or pad eye on the foredeck and folds forward leaving the deck clear when it is stowed away and reducing the overall length in tight marina situations too.Teak decks give great foot holding and look lovely too. The mainsail is on lazy-jacks and stacks neatly into the booms mainsail cover bag.
