Griffin Motor Yacht 71ft

This luxurious small ship has entertained many of the movers and shakers in New Zealand’s corporate world when Barry Coleman of the National Business Review owned her, and more recently she’s had stylish interior refurb and enjoyed a quitter life as the family’s floating haven.
She has been in survey for many years licenced to carry 36 passengers with the survey only running out in 2012 so she’d make a great addition to the charter fleet for the next America’s Cup. The interior layout works so well with large groups or just families aboard, with an open plan fly-bridge and saloon with amidships galley being ideal.
The accommodation too is very well thought out, light and spacious, with two full width master cabins with ensuites, plus a third cabin with a double berth and a single, and in the bow a crew cabin with a ¾ double and a single as well with it’s own w/c.
The new décor is stylish and clean looking with neutral tones, new ceramic counter tops, and many new additions and upgrades to appliances, fixtures and fittings.
The owner’s full width master cabin ensuite with separate shower is aft and away from the guests for added privacy.
The galley is very well equipped with a host of stainless steel appliances including dishwasher, trash compactor, ceramic hobb and wall oven, Panasonic microwave, range hood, twin sinks, new Teak and Holly flooring, new ceramic counter tops and plenty of refrigeration. The main galley fridge is a custom- built beauty with a large freezer adjacent, plus there is another fridge and ice maker on the fly-bridge. The galley servery works well with the formal dining table nearby in the forward saloon.
The fly-bridge area is huge with all weather teak decking and canvas upholstery easily seating twenty guests.
There are fold out deck chairs, bean bag loungers and fold away table for entertaining. The fly-bridge clear screens have roll-up windows so you can regulate the airflow and temperature too.
There is a bar with fridge and icemaker forward and to port and a second helm station with Morse electronic controls and instrumentation as well.
The second guest full width cabin is in the forward accommodation area with it’s own ensuite to starboard and accessed through a spiral staircase.
The third double cabin is in the aft accommodation area with a shared day-head (see below) and an aftwartships single berth above it and a small hutch desk
In the bow there is a lovely 4th cabin or crew quarters with a 3/4 double and a single berth above it with it’s own ensuite bathroom as well, and for more privacy there is a 5th toilet on the aft deck.
The raised bulwarks give good protection and safety to the side decks with teak laid decking and sun protection too.
The walk through transom was recently fitted making access to the large platform so much easier with fishing stations, A swim ladder and the aft lazarette all well set up for family boating.
The pilothouse is well positioned and equipped with twin helm seats, a settee aft of that and good visibility with access to the side decks via sliding doors. A new Ray Marine chart plotter has upgraded the electronics package and access to the engine room is adjacent as well.
The Twin 3406 Cats are a heavy duty commercially rated slow revving motors for longevity and the full height engine room has a work bench too with the twin 16kva Onan gensets there as well.
The bow area and capstan, with the tender 4.7m RIB tender and the staircase to the aft accommodation,
