Hatteras 70 Cockpit Motor Yacht

This superb offshore capable example of the very popular USA built Hatteras is strongly constructed in moulded GRP with a custom-built hardtop and flybridge enclosure fitted in NZ as part of her recent refit. With stabilisers, 6000 litres of fuel and a large capacity water maker she was more than capable of the offshore cruising and next winter this could be you parked up at the Sand Bar at Musket Cove in Fiji.
Luxuriously appointed and recently refurbished, the interior offers light neutral tones and plenty of space for relaxing and lounging.
The owner’s private stateroom has it’s own access in the forward saloon, with the guest cabins stairs forward in the bridge.
The master stateroom aft has a full width cabin and ensuite, with plenty of storage and large wardrobes for live aboard use.
The guests are well catered for too with their own walk around double bed and private cabin forward and to port.
There is a 3 berth cabin in the bow with large single berths plus a second cabin to port which is used as storage now or by adding squads gives another 2 adult berths.
Naturally with a spacious big ship like this and plenty of room to entertain the galley needs to be equally well appointed to cater for a number of guests. There is plenty of refrigeration plus an icemaker, cockpit freezer too, and a dishwasher, full size stove and oven and microwave oven.
Adjacent to the galley is a dinette which is perfect for lounging and eating.
The décor gives a light and spacious feel too with new carpets and linings and upholstery added during it’s recent refurbishment.
A serious walk-in engine room with well laid out and easily accessible machinery including the twin 1040 hp GM Detroit diesels which have been well serviced and proven very reliable.
Many upgrades have been made including a large capacity Water Maker, LED lighting, Solar Panels added, and Cat 1 safety gear was required to meet NZ’s offshore safety audit for last years trip.
The well-equipped helm station has full electronics including modern chart plotters, radar, electronic engine controls, autopilot and radios.
The stairwell to the forward cabins is adjacent to the helm and side doors offer access to the side decks.
There is a separate generator and pump room with twin Onan 20 kva generators plus all the air conditioning units, water pumps etc which are easily accessible as well.
The flybridge helm station is also well equipped with twin big screen chart plotter/sounders and electronic controls, VHF, pilot and other instrumentation.
One great feature of this design is the aft cockpit which is low enough to the waterline to make a great fishing boat, and she’s well set up with rod holders, walk through transom and teak decking with underfloor storage too. There is even a Weber BBQ ready to grill the steaks, bait boards and outside shower as well.
